This is for Beginner Photographers

There are a lot of photographers on my blog that are beginners and I thought I would show them a little lighting product that is not expensive to buy but is a real image saver on those really bright days that you see a flower or a what ever object you see and it is in full sunlight but you don’t have time to wait until the object is in the shade. The thing I am talking about is a hand held or you can get an arm to attach to a light stand. This thing is called a Light Diffuser it is not that expensive and can be taken with you on a shoot weather it be people or objects. You can get this diffuser in different sizes. I have had one of these for many years. They are fun to use weather you bounce light into a scene or diffuse the bright Sun.  I have gotten a few photos to show you from the net.

304_t Most Pro Photography shops would sell these reflectors. I have included a link to give you an idea of what to look for    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/331722-REG/Interfit_INT270_Collapsible_5_in_1_Reflector_Kit.html

I do hope that this info will be helpful to anyone that is interested.

  1. Thank you Horst, my sister uses one of these. I had forgotten all about it until you mentioned it now. Pretty soon I'll need a small suitcase with wheels on it to pack my gear with me! :-) Have a fantastic evening and thanks again for sharing.

That is so helpful for me. I have never heard about a light diffuser. In Utah we have so many sunny bright days. And thank you for giving to us a website where we can get this light diffuser.

  6. I own and use one of these. It's good fun purchasing it as well. Watching the shop assistant getting it back in it's case.

  8. This is my first time visiting your blog, and after browsing through your photos all I can say is that you do something special with that camera of yours. I have to fiddle about with Paintshop and photos I have taken for my writing work, and if I had half the talent you have then I would be more enthused about what I actually am able to manage!

  9. Thanks Vera, there are tutorials available for PaintShop Pro. You just have to look for them.

  10. Horst, you are totally correct. I don't know anything about color. I was thinking about it and I have to admit that I always thought that color can be easily manipulated. Wrong! Perhaps, I need to start with learning about colors... Thank you for your support, Horst!

Michelle wants to do some more shots in natural settings...she even wants to lay in the lake with the lilly pads in a prom dress...lol...how lucky am I to get to shoot her! I will try using one of these for our next shoot. Thanks so much!
