Christmas Songs

I posted some Christmas songs below of a Young Heintje, Some of you may remember him in the late 60’s and the early 70’s. When I first heard him I was amazed at his voice and his wonderful Christmas songs. I guess when his voice broke he was not in much demand, and he faded away. Well I was thinking of Christmas music and he came to mind and I started searching and found a few of his Christmas songs and thought I would post them so others could here this fellow when he was young. Some may like him some may not. Let me know what you think.

Some Birds at my Feeder

Today I took a few images of the birds that frequent my feeder. Most of them are Sparrows and they hog the feeder until all the seeds are done. Some other birds come closer to dusk and dawn, as most of the Sparrows are not around at that time. I think these are Timberline Sparrows but I could be wrong. If I get any different types of birds I will post them as I photograph them. So here are some Sparrow photos.

November 05 2010

Yesterday, I went and got my shots for the flu and also a shot for pneumonia. The good looking nurse,  said that the flu shot would not be a problem, unless I have an allergy problem.  I have had many flu shots in the past so I knew everything would be ok with that shot. I got a shot in each arm, the pneumonia shot in the left arm and the flu shot in the right arm. Over night, I started to feel my left arm get sore, so every time I turned over I felt my arm, and I turn over a lot at night. This morning, I felt like someone had hit me in the arm, the good looking nurse said that my arm might feel sore with the pneumonia shot, well she was right. I checked my arm in the mirror to see if it may be red around the injection site, and no everything seemed ok. I guess it is just the little war that is going on in my arm, the little white blood cells, attaching the invasion from the injection. Well I know that in a week or two I will be safe from the latest flu’s and pneumonia viruses that are going around. 25 years ago I got every darn flu that was going around, I was sick 3 to 4 times a year and I tell you that was a real drain on me. I basically have been getting the flu shots since they have been available, and since then, I have not had the flu very often. There are many people out there that don’t believe in immunization, well that is up to them, but I sure believe in them. So if you believe in them go get your shots, you will be healthier  for it.

Bird Feeders at Hawrelak Park

I would love to take some photos of birds, I have a bird feeder in my back yard but as soon as I come outside these birds fly away. I here that there are Bird feeders at Hawrelak park, but have no idea where they are. I have a real problem walking, so if anyone knows where the feeders are at Hawrelak park please let me know. The park is very big and a really nice place to visit the wildlife. I have gotten some very nice shots by chance, but the small birds are a real challenge. I will even bring some bird seeds with me.
    The big search copy
I would love to photograph so of the smaller birds that visit the park, like chic-a-dee’s or Nuthatch  or what ever else I can photograph.
