There are a lot of photographers on my blog that are beginners and I thought I would show them a little lighting product that is not expensive to buy but is a real image saver on those really bright days that you see a flower or a what ever object you see and it is in full sunlight but you don’t have time to wait until the object is in the shade. The thing I am talking about is a hand held or you can get an arm to attach to a light stand. This thing is called a Light Diffuser it is not that expensive and can be taken with you on a shoot weather it be people or objects. You can get this diffuser in different sizes. I have had one of these for many years. They are fun to use weather you bounce light into a scene or diffuse the bright Sun. I have gotten a few photos to show you from the net.
Most Pro Photography shops would sell these reflectors. I have included a link to give you an idea of what to look for http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/331722-REG/Interfit_INT270_Collapsible_5_in_1_Reflector_Kit.html
I do hope that this info will be helpful to anyone that is interested.
Thank you Horst, my sister uses one of these. I had forgotten all about it until you mentioned it now. Pretty soon I'll need a small suitcase with wheels on it to pack my gear with me! :-) Have a fantastic evening and thanks again for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent post, Horst! Thank you so very much. I am definitely going to look into it.
ReplyDeleteHey Darlin, I can fill many suitcases with the stuff I have.
ReplyDeleteHorst, that is great post!!!! Thank you very much for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteThat is so helpful for me. I have never heard about a light diffuser. In Utah we have so many sunny bright days. And thank you for giving to us a website where we can get this light diffuser.
Here is a video that you may like to watch.

I own and use one of these. It's good fun purchasing it as well. Watching the shop assistant getting it back in it's case.
ReplyDeleteThere have definately been times when I could have used this, like Darlin, I think my pack is getting full.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time visiting your blog, and after browsing through your photos all I can say is that you do something special with that camera of yours. I have to fiddle about with Paintshop and photos I have taken for my writing work, and if I had half the talent you have then I would be more enthused about what I actually am able to manage!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vera, there are tutorials available for PaintShop Pro. You just have to look for them.
ReplyDeleteHorst, you are totally correct. I don't know anything about color. I was thinking about it and I have to admit that I always thought that color can be easily manipulated. Wrong! Perhaps, I need to start with learning about colors... Thank you for your support, Horst!
ReplyDeleteHi Aloysa, I will try to help you with the color thing, here is a site you may want to read.

Horst, I think Blogger lost some of mine and your comments. Could you please re-post links to the articles again? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYes I see, that they have lost some of my comments. Send me you e-mail. My e-mail is hr52can@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteToo much sun hasn't been a problem around here lately. LOL But I can see how you and your serious photographer friends would really find this useful. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I make my own. Im sure they are not as good as these by far but do use what I can get my hands on.
ReplyDeleteLoved this.
I have used both inside and outside small ones.
ReplyDeleteThanks Horst. I remembered this post, so I thought I would return to check it out. Michelle wants to do some more shots in natural settings...she even wants to lay in the lake with the lilly pads in a prom dress...lol...how lucky am I to get to shoot her! I will try using one of these for our next shoot. Thanks so much!
