I was just going through some old photos of myself on my Big Green Machine, my Kawasaki. I don’t have it anymore. To old for it anyway. Thinking back, man was it a lot of fun on the Green Machine. I took this bike to the mountains along with a bunch of friends and had a fantastic BBQ up there. Jumped into a mountain stream to cool of and cleanup, whew was it cold. We were up there for about 3 or 4 days, it was great. We did one trip to the base of a small waterfall crossed 3 streams to get there and then back again. On the way back I almost went over a 30 foot high cliff, man that was a close one. All in all, it was a great trip. Here is a photo of me on my bike, I played with the image a little. Let me know if you like it.
This photo was taken by my brother.
NICE work on this...looks like a dream:)
ReplyDeletePerfect picture and title!
Very nice Horst. I bet that was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteVery good Horst bet that was a lovely memory for you. Enjoy your weekend Sheila .
ReplyDeleteOr I love this photo!!!!!! I like the black and white photographs a lot. What you did to this picture is unbelievable. You turned it into an fantastic piece of art. Horst, you are not only a photographer you are an artist. And very talented artist. This photo is surreal. I like also how you played with black and white colors and their variations.
ReplyDeleteHorst, I am very impressed by this art!!!!!!!
Horst this is amazing and as Dawn mentioned it looks like a dream. Good thing you didn't go over that cliff, wow, that must have scared you. Mind you in our younger days I think that it took a lot more to scare most of us... today, well I still do things which scare me at times but I don't like fear holding me back from anything!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend and great work on the photo!
Thank you everyone, the original photo was taken around 1973 by my brother, I was jumping my bike in the river vally below where I used to live. Yes, it was great fun, the fellows I used to ride with were older than I was. We went everywhere to ride our bikes, got all dirty but had great fun. Can't do that anymore, that's ok, I had my fun.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo, isn't it great when a photo can just take you back to the very moment it was taken? It sounds like an amazing trip, with very happy memories for you :)
ReplyDeletePhoto is great. Love the black and white. What fun you had. Great looking bike.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Horst ... love the b/w pic. Be well, love, cat.
ReplyDeleteSeems like you knew how to have fun! Great photo. Love black and white and the background.
ReplyDeleteFor those of you that would like to know what I did, was that I used about 3 different textures and the made them meld together. Then I also merged the image of myself so as to make the photo look more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI was glad to see you were wearing a helmet. Sounds like it was lots of fun. Good job altering this...how about letting us see what it looked like before you jazzed it up?
ReplyDeleteSure Cindy, it's a real boring image but just for you I'll show it.
ReplyDeleteVery Nice work of Art. I do like the real one also .
ReplyDeleteGood work,long time ago :-)
ReplyDeleteHey! How cool is that Horst!!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you suit the bike too! ;)
I love this picture of you! I too, am an old biker chick and miss it a lot! I'll see if I can find an old photo of me on my bike, but in the meantime I STILL have a license to ride in my state along with my car. Now that I'm disabiled I doubt I'll be riding anymore even if I could but I sure did love being a "biker chick". My first husband and I were in a bike gang (riding friends) when I was in my 20's and it was sure a fun time. I so miss it too! BTW I love how you treated the picture you did it's marvalous! You go dude! ♥
ReplyDeleteOoo, my friend, super photo!!!
ReplyDeleteVery good job!!!
Best regards
