Short visit to Wabamun Lake

Yesterday my friend Russ and I went for a short ride (so I thought), to Wabamun Lake west of Edmonton. I really didn’t know where we were going. First we stopped to look at some old cars.

Russ likes old cars, I was shocked at the prices that were posted.

We then went on to Wabamun Lake. The day was kind of dreary with a little rain here and there (showers). It was about a 45 minute trip to the lake. It was a warm day, we had to put the Air conditioning on. When we got there we noticed that there were not very many boaters on the lake, so we got the cameras out and headed for the dock. There were a few Canada Geese grazing at the edge of the lake and a few boaters getting ready to head home. I think we were there for maybe half an hour and then we headed home ourselves. Here are a few photos of the lake.

Then we went home. This little trip killed a few hours and got me out of the house. I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Bye the way these were straight out of the camera.

It's a pity the light was so flat it looks a grand place.

    1. This is just one small town by the lake, this is the biggest lake close to the city of Edmonton. It has 4 power plants around it. This lake is also great for fishing.

    1. It's always nice to get out of the house, even if it's only to go to the store. I think my friend Russ needed to go for a ride more and he came and picked me up so he won't feel lonely. It was great to get out and walk around a bit.
