My goodness I had a surprise today when I went to water the garden and turn my compost. I didn’t think I would have any Amaryllis blooms this summer as it is getting late and the Amaryllis will be going for a sleep in late September. Most of the blooms will happen around Christmas or late January. I will take more photos as the blooms get fuller.
I wonder if there will be anymore before September.
Beautiful! Nice surprise.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy.
DeleteMagnificent when they flower, even the tall stems and leaves look very regal, hope maybe one more sneaks in before your fall. Cheers,Jean
ReplyDeleteI hope so. Thanks Jean.
DeleteThe light on these is perfect. It's always good to have a bonus.
ReplyDeleteJust a little back lighting.
DeleteMagic, or just like they are one of my favourite Flowers Horst. Mine has died off, for some reason it grew very tall. Your garden looks really lovely.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it , surprises like that are wonderful.
The reason they grow tall is that they are not getting enough light, and need to be put outside in the summer.
DeleteThank you Horst I will remember that next Year. Have a good day.
DeleteWhat a lovely surprise for you. These flowers always remind me of my Dad. I always used to buy him an amaryllis bulb for Christmas, but I don't know what he did with the bulb after it had flowered!
ReplyDeleteHI Vera, Most people don't know that they will bloom again same time next year, if they put it out in the summer to gain more energy from the Sun.
DeleteHorst flowers that you grow are amazing. Pretty colors.
