It’s that time of Year

when My Amaryllis are starting to send out flower pods. I have about 6 plants that are going to bloom in the next week or two. I also want to take a trip to the green houses to see what is happening in the display areas of the Garden centers. Can’t wait till the snow is gone and I can get into the garden. I also think that I will be doing some camping this year as I now have a vehicle that I can sleep in. Will keep you informed as to how I am improving with my new hips, who knows I may be doing some dancing later this year. My old Dance partner is bugging me already, so she can dance with me. I guess I will have to get some practice and lessons going some I can remember how to move again (dance moves that is). I’ll put up some of my old Amaryllis photos here untill I get some new ones. I hope you enjoy.

    1. Thanks Carole, I love dancing, but first I have to learn to walk properly again, I hope that comes soon, still using a cane. It will come in time.

  2. Beautiful blooms. Please post a photo of your camper, I'm sure it might/ will/ absolutely necessarily ... be more luxurious than our " Wonky Wagon", specially if you venture out while the nights are still a little cool. Dancing, polish up those shoes!!! Cheers, Jean.

    1. Hi Nancy, I don't have a camper, I have a Ford Explorer, it's big enough that I can sleep in it. I hate Tents, to me this is a step up from tents. Yes I would love to go dancing but I think my muscles are not ready yet. I'm keeping up my exercises but it takes time.

  6. Such lovely photos! I am with you - I can't wait to get outside and garden again. This winter has been so hard on everyone. I will be happy to bid it good riddance here in a few weeks hopefully. I hope you are feeling good with your new hips and can dance again soon!

  8. So Beautiful Horst you have so got greenfingers..I hope to see your new one's soon. Garden yes that would be wonderful such along time since we potted round the grass. Lots of jobs need doing here and tidying up outside.
Your hip sounds as if it is healing well, Dancing now there's a thing.

  9. I love your photos :) Pleased to hear that you are improving I hope you get on your camping trip later in the year, and you have your lovely new camera to take with you :) Hope the weather is improving for you, we have some signs of Spring here, but its a bit too soon to get too excited I think! My camellias have started blooming, and we have snowdrops in bloom, and yellow buds on the daffodils - yay. Also I spotted a tree with blossom on today, that surely is way too early!
    Take care :)

    1. Hi Poppy, It's way to early to think of spring here in Edmonton, Canada. It will be another 2.5 months before our flowers will bloom. -16* C here right now, but the Sun was shining today.

  10. Hi Horst :) Long time no see - sorry about that, Wordpress kind of took over in my attempts to put more time into it! I left a comment on here last night but unless you're moderating comments it disappeared into the ether! I will see what happens with this one! Anyway...your pics are beautiful! I had a lovely time viewing them :) They always brighten up the day. Unlike Blogger which is giving me no end of grief - I am using Windows 7 with the latest browser and it says its not supported and won't show me my reading list. It claims I don't have one! This doesn't help with visiting blogs as you can no doubt imagine ;) However paws crossed things will improve!!

  11. Ok...well that worked :) Don't know what happened last night. I presume I must have hit the wrong button though I don't see any that would have caused it to vaporise and vanish forever!!

    1. Hello Zia Wolf-Sun, I have windows 8 and have to use Google Chrome to work on this site. Google and Explorer hate each other so they make it that you have to use Google Chrome when visiting this site. Oh, by the way it's great to hear from you again. Glad you like my photos. Hoping to do more photography this year as my hips get stronger and am able to walk more and longer distances. Take care and have a good weekend.

    2. That's great news :) Look forward to your great photography as your hips grow stronger in leaps and bounds! Well...something like that anyway lol! Yes you're right about Google and IE...I'm using IE because I have a different google account on the google browser and it syncs with my mobiles etc. It may be fine to log out and into the one for this account but I don't know and don't want to risk messing my phones up! It does warn in IE blogger version that it might do strange things! Like, it would seem, remove my reading list at will! Now I am a little mystified since logging in today via IE I was immediately greeted by the welcome sight of my reader! It's likely it will have vanished again by my next visit lol but whilst it's here it sure makes life a whole lot easier!! Ok...off to check out your latest posts...byeeeeeee!
