Hello everyone, I’m back. Just thought I would surprise everyone and post today. We were hit with a rain storm yesterday and woke up to a winter wonderland of snow and ice. I took a couple of photos just to show you hpw much it snowed over night. It is getting to the time of year here in Edmonton that this snow could stay until spring. The winf is cold today so I am staying in until this afternoon. Then I will go out and shovel some snow and de-ice my SUV. May get some groceries later this afternoon. Well, I going to keep this short today and show you a couple of photos of our snow.
Well that’s all for today. Bye for now.
Your pictures made me shiver. Winter is most certain at your door.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are well and stocked with food for the winter lol.
Hi Nancy, one gets used to the snow and cold, after all I've lived here for a long long time. You know it's coming, we would rather it not come to soon, but we have no choice as it comes when it comes.
ReplyDeleteOH wow, I hope that we do not get that for a while, it looks very cold to me!! Have a good week. Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, it was a little chilly here today but it was not as cold as it can get. Hope you stay warm in France.
Deleteand is there a bird feeder there too that needs de-icing? Gosh, poor birds; they do it tough too don't they? In comparison it was 35 degrees C. here yesterday, with the winds blowing hard, until a southerly came through around 5pm.
ReplyDeleteWow, 35 C is to hot for me. hope your in the shade and stay cool. Yes, I have to defrost the bird feeders as well. It will get much colder here before it warms up. It goes down to -35 C no problem in Alberta in winter time.
DeleteHorst, you Do you already have the snow? So it is already true cold. Greetings to you.
ReplyDeletePeter, Yes we have snow and will get much more before spring. You take care and maybe the snow will pass you by but do hold your breath.
DeleteHi Horst, I hope you have been doing well.
ReplyDeleteThose photos are beautiful! I would be happy if it didn't snow at all this winter.
Hi Beth, I'm doing very well. I am going to physio now and enjoying all of my exercises. It would be nice if we didn't have snow but it will come anyway.
DeleteThat is one huge lot of snow, de-ice if you have to, shovel, guess you have to do this, and take care on those roads. Lovely sunflower header, bright and cheery, and a super photo !! Cheers, Jean.
ReplyDeleteThose are bird feeders but I see that they are empty, so will fill them in the morning. Will have to see about changing my header photo.
ReplyDeleteI love snow, but from a distance now we have animals to look after, but back in the Uk, on the rare occasions it did snow, I was always out and about in it before it melted. Love the winter wonderland look, very magical!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow Horst.
ReplyDeleteIf that was here, the country would be at a standstill! lol
Keep warm.
That little bit of snow didn't even slow things down around here. Lots of crashes though, people forget how to drive in the snow. I have never had a problem with driving in this type of weather.
DeleteGood to see you back. Wet snow is not the stuff I long for, Hope the new bits ave settled in fine.
ReplyDeleteHi Adrian, yes the bits are settling in fine. Doing a lot more stuff these days and feeling like doing things now.
DeleteA Winter wonderland of art. It is snowing outside right now very hard. I think I may wake up to the same thing.
ReplyDeleteHope your doing well and I guess you will be heading south soon.
DeleteWow! I love your photo's cold and yet very pretty. I love the way you take it all in your stride Horst. Here in the UK it has been very wet and windy , so I think I would prefer the Snow to all this wet damp weather. Good to see you post here today, all the best and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is pretty but I'm glad it's not snowing here in the Bay Area! It's good to see you back Horst!
ReplyDeleteI've always been around just not posting.
DeleteI have to admit I'm not a fan of snow Horst... but we don't get "proper" snow that often in my neck of the woods... it's all slush and a nightmare to drive in usually.
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew, a week after I took these shots it snowed for a week, so far we've had half the years snow in on week. Now the weather reporters are saying that we will get more snow next week. Go figure.
DeleteLove the photos, we haven't got any snow...yet! I expect we will get it some time over the next few months!! Lovely to see you back :)
ReplyDeleteHope your page is ok, it is telling me that it is in Roumanian and do I want to translate it?? When I tried to add a comment it took me to some strange website. Thought you might like to know!
Hi Poppy, yes I know about the strange page, that is something that Google is doing and I hate it but can't fix it. We are supposed to get another storm tonight, so I hope it doesn't snow to much. All I can say about the Romanian translator is that Google is a little screwed up on this end.
ReplyDeleteThat really was a good snow! Our most recent snow has all melted now and no more snow in the foreseeable future. But I'm sure we will get some in the new year. I wanted to thank you for your comments on my blog and wish you a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHi Horst you're as tardy as I am for posting, or not posting, but by the time I get this you've got over a dozen comments, wow, I'm lucky to get three, LOL no worries I can talk enough for a couple of dozen myself. Don't like the snow, though I must admit it's very pretty, if it was just not so cold Brrrrrrrrrr, anyhow keep well and wrap up warm, thank you s much for your visit. XX
