I’ve been playing again, have been working with an image to make it look more like a painting then what I have done before. Let me know what you think.
I love these technically. Your treatment puts my efforts to shame. However I do think a good photograph Photoshoped is better. Just a personal preference. A frame would lift it. Sorry to be a bit negative, I appreciate the time and skill you have deployed.
Hi Adrian, Have you ever done any darkroom work? Well think of photoshop as a darkroom. The best photographers of old all did their magic in the dark room. It just happens that in photoshop one can go a few more steps than one could in days gone by, in the darkroom. Oh yes, the image is a photograph, thank you for your comment.
Thank you everyone, your comments are wonderful, The reason I do these images is to learn more as to what I can do with photoshop. I see a lot of professional photographers creating what looks like paintings on their blogs, but they are not using photoshop, they are using other very expensive programs to create with, so I am trying to figure out how to do the same thing in photoshop. Thank you again.
Same with me Horst, I like to play and learn all the new ways to change images and Photoshop is really opening up to me. I love what you did and agree with most of the comments so I won't repeat them. Good job tho! I've been playing with other programs like Photobucket, and some other image changing apps on my cell phone. I'm having a blast! I, like you started out with a Brownie camera (wish I still had it) and darkrooms. As much as I miss darkrooms you can do so much more with Photoshop and I like playing with making animated images too which leaves darkrooms, well, in the dark. Tee hee! I'll tell you one thing, just by looking at your new work I can surely tell it's a "Horst" cause you really have a nice style to all the work you do. Take care and have a good weekend! I don't know about where you live, but we are NOT having much of a Summer here. By now I should be swimming in the pool but it's too cold. Today it's only 63 degrees! It's already June! Keep up the great work! For me, I'm learning a lot on Photoshop but I'm thinking of painting again. I miss it and it'd be nice to try and make some extra money again. Big hug! ♥
Thanks for your comment Bekkie. Here in Edmonton, we have been having great weather between 18 to 23C (64.4 f to 73.4 f)I like this kind of weather. We are used to cooler weather here. I don't miss the darkrooms, spent most of my life in one. That's why I like photoshop so much.
Gorgeous Horst and the "painting" has much life and spirit blended into it, it draws you in... Photoshop fascinates me...since purchasing a copy it has opened up a whole new world of opportunities and each new skill learned is like a brightly dawning new day. Mind you...would have held fire on buying it separately if I'd known I was going to purchase a laptop with the full working version fully installed and running very nicely thank you!!
Regarding your comment today to me..the good part is, Horst that even if it smarts when they bend you..the things you do at home before you see them will make it much easier. Seriously. xox
Lovely editing Horst; and a beautiful subject.
ReplyDeleteYou're really getting good at Photoshopping. This looks so much like an expensive watercolor painting.
