My Garden Flowers

I went into the garden today and did a little weeding, but I didn't realize that there were so many weeds, I guess I will have to do a little everyday and keep them out. The birds were not happy with me, they wanted to get at the feeder. There was one Chick-a-dee that was scolding me, but he decided to get at the feeder even though I was bothering him. I sat down every now and then to rest my Hip, when I had enough for today  I thought why not take a few photos of my flowers and see what I can do with them. Here are a few flowers for those of you that love flowers and Nature.

  4. Those darned birds, scared of little ol' Horst? LOL

Beautiful flower pictures. The lupines up here are all done blooming and have gone to seed. I'm not sure what kind the others are, but they are pretty pink flowers.

  5. Cindy, the pink ones are Geraniums. I have a pink one in one barrel and a salmon colored one in another barrel.

  6. Carole, thank you, I try to be professional, isn't that the whole idea. I see other photographers that are good, such as yourself but there is something missing in your photos. The thing that is missing is that you are not finishing the images in the lab or photoshop or other image programs. That is also what makes things look professional. I for one want to make the image stand out and hit me or you in the face so one can say Wow, that looks fantastic, that is my end goal.

  8. Horst you have the greenest thumb around. ;) I'm not one for alot of photo editing though. Sometimes what comes out of the camera is better left alone.
What's the temperature up there where you are these days? We're sweltering here in the south.

  10. Hi Kimmy, I hear what you are saying, about your photos, I guess it is because I have so many years in the darkroom, that I am always thinking about how can I improve my images. The weather here is nice right now, the temps lately range from 24C to about 29C, so far. We have had a fair amount of rain lately but August is around the corner and it could get a lot hotter. We definately can't handle the kind of heat you are getting in your part of the world.
