So beautiful these have got to be my fav flower well one of many, so tall lovely colour standing so proud. Well done Horst you have done yourself proud.
Oh Horst, how beautiful is that, the detail you have captured is stunning, love it, Thanks for your visit, and soorry I haven't been around much, just been a bit busy, I haven't forgotten you though.
Hi Friko, It is a photograph but I put a painterly affect on it. One can see the effect better once it is enlarged. I've sized the photo so it won't enlarge on this blog.
Horst your blooms just keep coming. These flowers were just blooming in people flower beds down in the desert. We have one under a palm tree at our lot we landscaped. I have a friend with hundreds. Next year I will get some bulbs from her and plant some around our house. They can be left in the ground down there. Have a wonderful week Horst
Hi Carole, I am hoping soon but no one has called to give me an exact date. My Dietitian(who works at the same clinic) has said some time in late June. On well, I guess I will have to wait.
Hello Horst, thank you for popping by my blog and leaving me the lovely message :) I can see that you haven't had your hip surgery yet, which I am really sad to read. I hope you won't have too long to wait. Your photos are as ever, amazing! Although you don't feel like taking photos just now I am sure you have a lot from previous years that you could share with us? Maybe sometime you could show us a photo straight from your camera and talk us through the steps you do on Paintshop (?) to turn it into a better photo? I would love any tips you could give as a professional photographer on improving photos. Take care :)
Hi Poppy, sounds like an interesting idea, the only problem is that I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 not Paintshop. There are numerous tutorials out in the internet, one just has to query a search engine like Google to find them. Which photo manipulation program do you use? If you don't use one then maybe you should try Gimp2, it is a very powerful photo editor and it is free. I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop CS, so I like it the best.
Beautiful last photo, stunning. Cheers from Jean

ReplyDeleteHi Poppy, this flower has been in bloom for a week and a half, it's fading fast now.
DeleteThis is beautiful! Good thing you capture it in bloom, from your last comment here it doesn't sound like they're in bloom for long.
ReplyDeleteHi Darlin, they stay in bloom from one week to 2 weeks depending on the age of the plant. I think it has to do with maturity.
