Not much going on

Hello everyone, not much going on these days, except my friend Russ and his fiancé, took me out too a wonderful show here in Edmonton, that is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. This was a stag production that was called “The Singing Christmas Tree”. The proceeds to this show go’s to charity, mainly to the Food Bank and Santa’s Anonymous. Santa’s Anonymous gives gifts to needy children, and we all know about the food Bank. Well, the show was totally awesome. The music and singing  was world class, I thing the whole show was world class. The Singing Christmas Tree is only on for 3 days every year. The show was at the Jubilee Auditorium here in Edmonton, which is also a world class concert hall. If Russ is watching or listening, I really want to thank you for taking me along. It was a wonderful evening.

Well, as the title says not much going on in my life right now, I am in a fair amount of pain and doing as little as possible so that I am not totally overcome with pain. I have another Amaryllis that is going to bloom in a week or two. I will post a few picture when the time comes, so that you all don’t feel that I have abandoned you.

  1. take care Horst and it sounds like you are trying to do that. The concert sounds superb and wonderful where the proceeds went, a win-win situation. Look forward to your amaryllis bloom

    2. Hope you feel better soon.I didn't know you were sick. I hope it's nothing serious. I had to have I surgery again this December. Same as last time I got another ocular whole. The good news is both times the hole closed and I'm going to be just fine. It's 1 of the reasons I haven't been blogging again I'll have to get back to it soon. Besides surgery I've been so busy with my life I just haven't had time to get online. Well I have to come back and find out with your flowers a pink 1 I guess. Take care now checking on you soon.

  5. My guess is " a fair amount of pain" can be intepreted as " LOTS", and sometimes there is no easy way for it to be tolerated. Take care, rest plenty, wrap up warmly, photograph the budding flower occasionally, and keep us all posted. In blogland, we all care so much about each other, remarkable friends spread far and wide, oceans apart.so I send lots of wishes for pain free days to come, fond greetings from Jean.p.s. beautiful flower photos previously.

    1. Hello Nancy, yes it did mean LOTS of pain. I just didn't want to be a drama monger. It seems that since I had my first hip surgery I can't handle as much pain or this hip is more painful that the other.

  11. Oh dear Horst, it saddens me to hear you are in such pain, it must be very depressing but please don't let it get you too low.
A few more wonderful shows with Russ and his fiancée is just what you need to take your mind off things, it sounded as though it was a good all round spectacle. Take care and look forward to seeing the new Amaryllis. X

    2. Thank you Arlene. My friend Russ wanted me to bring my camera but he didn't ask me until I got to his place. So no Camera, no photos. I looked at my camera as I went out the door but I thought, well, the lighting would not be that great and I can't use flash, so better to leave it at home. When I got there and saw that they (the TV station) were taping the show, I felt like kicking myself. Oh well, maybe I can get a ticket for next year and I will take lots of photos.
