Some flowers in my Garden

Hi again, It’s summer so I don’t have as much time to post that much. Was sitting in the garden and thought I would post some photos today. I had my first Strawberries from my garden today, and did they ever taste good. I noticed that one of my strawberry plants is showing a pink flower, it is not open yet so am not sure if that is what they look like before they open and then turn white when fully open. I took some photos of this and that so will show you some now and some in a few days.

            My Marigolds painting copy

That’s it for now, I will post some more in a few days or so. Till then.

    1. They had some really good deals at the garden center in May. I think I will buy another Whiskey barrel next year for just Strawberries.

  2. Strawberry flowers are a great sight nestled in amongst those wonderful leaves. The promise of delicious fruit (keep a watch for the slugs and birds). Beautiful gerbera, viola, marigold. I'm one of the odd species who actually love the smell of marigold leaves!

    1. I love the look of Marigolds and the color. Will try to take some seeds off of my 2 plants for next spring seed starting.

  3. The flowers are beautiful Horst. I would love to have some fresh strawberries that are not from California. They are so huge they are not nearly as flavorful.

    1. I only have 5 Strawberry plants, I have them in a large half whiskey barrel with some other plants. They seem to like it that way and are growing well.

  4. Enjoy your strawberries. Nothing like coming from your own garden. Your flower pics are so pretty. I know I am not posting much as the garden is too much fun. I have a green paper on one plant already. Flowers on my tomato plants. Enjoy your garden Horst.

    1. I have flowers on my tomato plants as well, hope they all turn into nice large Tomato's. Your growing season is much longer than mine, so I hope you have lots of nice tomato's on your plants.

    1. Keith, I was lucky to buy a plant that already had some strawberries on them. It will take a few more weeks to get some more to ripen.

    1. Hey Michael, first I have to find subjects to write about and take photos of. I don't post images that come straight from the camera, but I also don't change the color, I adjust the density and maybe darken certain areas of the images to get what I want from the image. This comes from many many years of professional photography. That's why the color pops like that.

  14. Hey Wolfie, by the time the strawberries would get to you, they would be rotten, but I will think of you when I eat the next batch.:-)

  17. My strawberry plants are so over grown, but filled with blossoms right now. A project is to dig them all up and replace with a different variety. They only produce tiny little berries. Have a wonderful week and enjoy all the beautiful flowers around you. Hugs Carrie
