More Garden Photos

Hello everyone, as I promised I have some more photos to show you from my garden, I also had another strawberry from my garden today it tasted great. One of my strawberry plants has a pink flower, I have never seen that before, so I took a photo of it just so you can’t call me a liar. We have had a week of sun and rain off and on. Will be a few more days like this next week. The plants are growing like crazy. I have been fertilizing. Here are some photos for you to look at.

  4. The flowers are beautiful and excellent shots of them Horst. What type of fertilizer do you use? The weather on your side of the city must be a bit different than the south side, we've been getting tons of rain. I wanted to cut the lawn yesterday and couldn't, it was too wet, then it rained more last night. Today it's overcast but no rain just yet, but even if it was dry I'm not home! lol Life's just like that sometimes eh?

Have a wonderful evening and a Blessed Sunday!

Cheers from the south side. :-)

    1. Hey Darlin, I use what I have, mostly Tomato fertilizer, as it has a lower nitrogen number. Better for fruiting plants. My tomatoes are awesome, just did some pruning.

    1. I don't do anything special with the plants, I just fertilize them and most of all give them good soil. As far as the photos go, I use simple Technic's to make the flowers look their best. The main thing is to put a UV filter and a warming filter in front of the lens. This makes the colors look their best. The filters you leave on to protect your lens from scratches and dirt. Very simple.

  11. Horst you can see the results that you have been fertilizing your garden; these all look like well nurtured nursery stock ready to hit the spring market! I've always had a fondness for the humble strawberry in flower; lovely photographs

  12. What a wonderful bunch of lovelies.
Thanks for your advise, Horst. I don't think a faster 300 mm is in my future due to the high cost. Metering and ss aside, do you think a better camera with lower noise at higher ISOs would be worth the investment? This is far less costly than the 8,000$ 300 mm f 2.8
