This evening I made a nice loaf of Rye Bread so that I can have toast in the morning, Next time I am going to try making Sourdough Rye Bread. Will see what that tastes like. The Rye Bread I made today is very tasty and I added a couple of table spoons of Flax seed. Flax seed is very good for me, has lots of health properties. One can also buy milled flax flour. I love to taste freshly baked bread, so I cut of the end of the bread and buttered it and had the great taste of fresh Rye Bread. Here is a photo of the bread that I baked this evening.
Mmmmm mmmm good.
Horst I like freshly baked breads in the house. My wife used to use the bread maker regularly and I guess there's nothing wrong with me using the bread maker. I lived in isolated communities in th Arctic. Of course I couldn't buy bread from a store so baked bread for five years.
ReplyDeleteThat does look good.
ReplyDeleteBet it tastes good too.
Keith, it is good, I have made it many times before. It is great just out of the oven, or the bread maker. It is even better toasted. Tomorrow I will make a different type of bread.
DeleteHmmm.....i can almost smell it.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop
Horst I am very impressed, I am never successful with Rye bread. The best I have ever tasted was in S. Africa, we had a lot of German shops there and their bread was out of this world. Think that they have spoilt me for any other Rye bread!! Diane
ReplyDeleteYUMM!! I can smell it from here. Looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteDanke Horst!
Wow, you can read and write German as well, fantastic. I can read German, and speak German, but writing it is much harder as I have only gone to English school.
DeleteYou have so much talent...
ReplyDeleteTake care Horst and thanks for being my friend.
Your welcome Andrew, do you have any other talents besides what you do at work, other than your photography? I have always had many hobbies, Woodworking, Archery, Computers, repairing Computers, troubleshooting Computers, Household repairs, and I'm sure there are more but can't think of them right now.
DeleteSe ve apetecible Horst, y casi casi se puede oler!! Solo lo he comido un par de veces y esta delicioso.. Un abrazo y saludos desde Madrid.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, love your blog, you have so much history in Spain. I hope I can visit Spain one day.

I love so much the home bread!!
I also do handmade bread, why kids love it too!
Hot with butter and feta cheese, are the best of me!
Have a nice day!
New bread in the morning - add coffee and bacon and the day cannot go wrong - well maybe not!

Very tasty looking Horst. I used to make bread but being younger then and less health wise I would usually make up a white bread with cinnamon and lots of raisons. Tasted wonderful when toasted and slathered with butter... ok, now I'm hungry, time for yogurt and granola....geez. ;)
ReplyDeleteHorst, that looks so delicious! There's nothing like homemade bread. Maybe I'll take your inspiration and make some today.
ReplyDeleteIt looked really good out :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you can soon get so hot that butterflies will arrive to you too :)
Horst also bake homemade bread. The shape of the bread is known to me. Rye bread is the most healthy. Can I eat it alone with a little salt. It is quite natural. Store-bought bread contains raising agents. You do not do me well. Have a nice weekend, Horst! / Peter.
ReplyDeleteA great picture of food..
ReplyDeleteLike it is here next to me,,,,
Greetings!!
That looks delicious -- especially with melted butter. Mmmmm
